Marina Diamandis (pronounced dee-a-man-dee) born 10 October 1985, better known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds, is a Welsh singer-songwriter of Greek descent. She rose to fame after reaching number two on the BBC Sound of 2010 poll list. After releasing one private extended play (Mermaid Vs Sailor), she released her second extended play, The Crown Jewels EP, with help from Neon Gold Records in 2009. Now signed to 679 Recordings, she released her debut full-length studio album debuting at 5 in the official UK charts, The Family Jewels, followed by her third extended play, The American Jewels EP, in 2010.

 To celebrate the release of Oh No! on August 2nd, Marina will be performing the single on TV over the next couple of weeks… …And chatting to Chris Moyles on his breakfast show on Radio 1 THIS THURSDAY. We will try and get you a specific time to tune in. Keep your TV’s on – Marina will be on Channel 4 THIS SUNDAY when she performs Oh No! for Big Brother’s Little Brother. The programme starts at 11.30am Sunday morning. She will then make an appearance on This Morning on Friday 27th July, and will perform on the show too!

Last night Marina made her US television debut on the Late Late Show. She performed I Am Not A Robot and it was incredible. Take a few minutes to watch it below & for any new American Diamonds out there, click here to see her tour dates for September.
I have just added the dates of Marina’s North American/Canadian tour to the site just above. The tour starts September 1st at Paradise in Boston and ends 10 dates later at El Rey in Los Angeles on September the 17th.
