Yesterday Marina sat in the front row along side other celebrities for the Ashish Spring / Summer 2010 fashion show at the Somerset House in London as part of London Fashion Week. Marina was wearing dress by Ashish from his winter collection as well as a neon pink beanie and neon blue sunglasses with black lips to finish the look. Yesterday, Marina attended ‘Vivienne Westwood Shoes An Exhibition: 1973-2010‘ at Selfridges in London. Marina, who has just completed her US/Canadian tour has mentioned in a few interviews that she has really been excited about coming back to London for fashion week so we really hope she enjoys herself.

Scott Mills of Radio 1 has released his “Big Ones” compilation featuring a brand new remix of Oh No!

Q: What were the main lessons you learned from the Madonna biographies you read growing up?
A: How did you know I read them?

Q: Everybody knows you read them.
A: I’m so ashamed. I think the main thing I learned is I didn’t feel so alone. I tried so many different routes that didn’t work. One of the indications for me was I was doing it for the right reasons. I wanted to be an artist.

Q: Is that why you auditioned in drag for a boy band?
A: Listen, I was desperate. I had nothing to lose. I was only 19 at the time. I couldn’t sing. But it got me a meeting with a record label. It took me four more years to get a meeting with a record label again.

Q: In the video for “I Am Not a Robot,” you’re alternately naked and covered in body paint, glitter and plastic jewels. Which was the most painful to remove?
A: Oh, my God. All of them. It was so painful. It was really hard work. But really worth it. I think the black makeup was the hardest.

Q: I cringe for you every time I watch it.
A: I cringe because you can see my tonsils. They were on full view.

Q: In your song “Hollywood” people say you look like Shakira and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Does that really happen?
A: Yes. It was an integral part of my upbringing. Being Welsh in a small village people always said to me that I looked like Catherine Zeta-Jones. And you go to a new country and I just remember a security guard going, “Oh my God, you look just like Shakira!” That was about it – the perception of female celebrity. Everyone is grouped together, even though you’re different musically. I think it’s not common for females to be musicians. I don’t mean pop stars. I mean the kind who write and perform their own music.

Q: Were you wearing a snake around your neck at the time?
A: No, I was singing “Hips Don’t Lie.”

Q: Are you popular in Greece?
A: I’m fairly well known. But I haven’t been back there to do a gig or any promo because they’re in financial ruin. Their ticket and CD sales are really low.

Q: Why don’t you play a free show?
A: Because it would put me about 5,000 pounds in debt.

Q: What if I sent you $20? Would that help?
A: Um, no.
