The massive earthquake and resulting tsunami that struck Japan on the 11th of March have caused widespread destruction and suffering, relayed on television screens around the world.
More than 8,000 people have died in the disaster, thousands are injured and at least 12,000 are missing. Many people are living in evacuation centres as 14,000 homes have been destroyed and around 100,000 are damaged.
The costs of the relief effort, and of rebuilding the homes and lives of those affected, will be immense. Donations to the British Red Cross will be used towards helping the Japanese people recover from this devastating natural disaster over the coming months and years.

Marina and the Diamonds is auctioning some of her favourite items from her tour wardrobe to raise money to aid The Red Cross in their relief efforts in Japan.

The first item up for auction is Marina’s silver jumpsuit that she wore on her first British magazine cover. The magazine it is featured on is Company & was released in May 2010. Click here to bid on this.

The second item up for auction is Marina’s famous bunny cape she wore a lot in 2010. This was featured in one of her photoshoots with Rankin as well as being part of her tour wardrobe with NME. Any fan will tell you that Marina has a love for cheerleading/baseball jackets so her third auction means a lot. She has listed a vintage jacket that was used in some of her first Marina And The Diamonds promotional pictures as well a tour piece & being featured in a photoshoot by Rick Morris Pushinsky for Fly magazine.
