TheSun.co.uk recently reported on their site saying that along with Paloma Faith and Nicki Minaj, Marina is currently working with Labrinth on some music.

This is The Sun saying this so we still have to take what they say with a pinch of salt. With that in mind, True or False it is definitely something that I find exciting.
I’m a big fan of Labrinth and could totally see his music and Marina’s voice meshing together to make something amazing. Labrinth was a big part of Tinie Tempah‘s debut album last year as well as releasing his own top 3 song. Have a listen to them below.

Marina just recently posted a new blog on her site titled ‘Hard Graft‘. She talks about writing new songs, the new album being released in 2011 & a few words for all of us Diamonds.

A note for the Diamonds..

I have read here and there that I will be ‘apparently’ releasing an extended version of ‘The Family Jewels’ at some point, with new songs. This is bull. The Family Jewels is very much a done deal- A chapter in time, over, closed & moved on from. I am not very enamored by the idea of rehashing current works or adding songs. Whatever I release next will be a new, seperate project which you will hear in 2011. I don’t know if it will be in a traditional album format or as something else..

I am forever fueled by what I see around me. So many thoughts to be thought! I didn’t stop writing after the first record as there was no reason to.. I have a ‘few songs’ coming together. I feel like the life of artists can sometimes be too defined by freedom. Discipline is key. Even over talent. Work, work, work, work, work please. Marina And The Diamonds gives my life meaning, a reason and a drive. I need it. Everybody needs meaning. I would prefer to miss 10 years of parties over writing one new record. Hermit!

It is interesting to see how new songs are taking shape.. I am inspired and dreaming again.

ps- I have loved seeing the online communities of diamonds popping up everywhere. The way you work together is quite amazing. There seems to be a lot of kindness & support there.

Katy Perry has been complimenting Marina yet again, this time saying she would like to do a collaboration with her. It is quite exciting to think this could possibly happen. I am a fan of Katy and would love to have a song/performance with both of them together.

This isn’t the first time Katy has mentioned Marina. She recently said she loves her in an interview with MTV & also Tweeted about Marina’s album release in the US.
