Good job Diamonds. After months of voting, we the winners of the Virgin Media Music Awards have been announced & guess who won Best Newcomer? We voted Marina so much that she won with over two thirds of the votes.

Marina of Marina And The Diamonds’ might have been moaning about not being a bigger star recently, but tell that to the voters of our awards – the flamboyant frontwoman easily takes this gong, with more than two thirds of the votes. Former X Factor star Diana Vickers came in second while Ke$ha, The Pretty Reckless and The Wanted made up the remainder of the top five.

This is interesting for all you European Diamonds out there, specifically German Diamonds. Marina is performing at the next MySpace secret show in Hannover on December 5th.

Marina And The Diamonds has been handed the Best New UK and Ireland act MTV European Music Award, ahead of the ceremony in Madrid next month. She is now representing the UK in the Best European Act category, with the winner announced on Sunday November 7 at the big event.

Marina beat Tinie Tempah, Rox, Delphic and Ellie Goulding in the public vote. We really voted our butts off & now it is time to do it again!

This Saturday is our chance to get Marina some last minute votes so she can win an EMA this year. She has been nominated for ‘Best UK & Ireland New Act ‘ & if you follow us on twitter then you know we have been trying to get everyone to vote as much as we can.
