Last night EuroChannel which specialises in airing European movies, television series and music had a 1 hour special on Marina. They devoted an hour of airtime to playing Marina’s debut album The Family Jewels and If you missed it and would still like to see it then don’t worry, they are showing a repeats throughout the weekend.

After a few weeks of denying reports about Shampain being Marina And The Diamonds next official single, her label 679Artists have officially announced via Twitter that it is indeed the next single to come and will be released on October 4th!

For those of you following us on Twitter or just generally those who enjoy watching a bit of TV like the rest of us. You may know about the new TV advert for Marina’s debut album ‘The Family Jewels‘ it features videos from her tour backdrops and I love it.

The story reimagines a myriad of classic princess mythologies that every little boy and girl has grown up either adoring…resenting…fulfilling…(or a conflicted mixture of all those feelings), and writes each fairy tale its own unique, modern twist. This message: of carving your own path and ultimately following your heart, regardless of expectation or society, is very near and dear to me and hopefully reflected in the spirit of this film.

Marina herself said it best when describing the origin of her musical identity: “I saw a simple group made up of many people who had the same hearts. A space for people with similar ideals who could not fit in to life’s pre-made mold. I was terribly awkward for a long time! I really craved to be part of one thing because I never felt too connected to anybody and now I feel I have that all around me.”

Marina posted on her official website today that the next single from her hit album The Family Jewels is going to be… Oh No! You can download your copy on July 26th, we will keep you updated.

So… I can now reveal that my next single release will be “Oh No!”. I have been vigorously planning the video all month and am extremely excited about it. I haven’t made a video since last December- excluding the “one take” Robot one. (Quickest. Made. Video. Ever..) It will be released this Summer on the 26th July.
