Marina and the Diamonds’ New Single ‘Radioactive’ got its first play on the radio today on Fearne Cotton’s show. Shortly afterward, the video for the song was released. Check out the clip below and take a look at stills and captures from the set at the links above. What do you think of the video, and of Electra Heart?

Marina’s new single, Radioactive, from her upcoming album, is scheduled to be previewed next Monday, August 22, on Radio One with Fearne Cotton. The song, along with an EP of remixes, is already available to pre-order on iTunes UK with a video to be put out later. Marina premiered a new preview video of a track, called Fear and Loathing, off her upcoming album. Part Two of the video will be released next Monday at 4PM. Check out the video, below, as well as HD Screencaptures in the gallery. Speaking about the video, and her anti-thesis Electra Heart, Marina said: “”Electra Heart” epitomises and embodies the lies, illusions and death of American ideologies involved in the corruption of self.” Check out the full interview Marina did with Popjustice about Fear and Loathing and the upcoming videos to follow here. Marina posted a teaser screen capture today from a new video to be released on Monday. Marina Diamandis set about breaking into the music industry during the two years that she spent in Greece following the separation of her parents. Since then Marina has become a household name in the UK, however she was not happy completely happy with sound of her singing voice..

Marina will resume her Burger Queen Tour tonight in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The five stop mini tour across the eastern United States will  rap up Marina’s headlining gigs before she heads off to the California Dreams Tour supporting Katy Perry. Marina has been in New York this week, and tweeted:

Last night (the 5th Of May) Marina made an appearance at an Esquire Magazine party to celebrate the launch of their June issue. She wore a gorgeous green dress designed by the very talented Hayley Scanlan, who as we have mentioned before is currently designing some tour pieces for Marina to wear during The California Dreams Tour. Chilly Gonzales spoke to The Guardian recently about some current music acts and what he thinks their next steps should be. In his own way I guess what he says about Marina is kind enough. It’s quite quiet right now for Marina news so I thought I would post this + it gives me a reason to post the amazing version of Hollywood above.

I worked with Marina a little before her album came out. She presented herself as a pop star-in-waiting, which is a huge gamble, totally admirable. But it seems she hasn’t quite achieved her goals.
I think there’s a trend in British music at the moment, with Adele having huge success, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen – the problem with Marina is she may just be too beautiful. The women who are big in British music at the moment, they’re very charismatic, good-looking, but not quite model-looking. So for Marina, what about some reverse plastic surgery? A few features just a bit off, but still charming, and maybe we can move the needle on those numbers.
